Nantucket weather does what it wants. If the forecast turns we'll reach out a day or two ahead and move your session to another day that works for both of us.
What happens if it rains?
Most Nantucket beach sessions are in the hour or two before sunset, when the light is soft and the beaches have cleared out. Mornings work beautifully too, especially with little ones who are happiest early.
What time of day will our session be?
You'll receive 50 fully edited, high resolution images per hour of shooting. Every image is professionally edited and yours to download from your online gallery.
How many photos will we receive?
Yes, most of the families we photograph are here on vacation. Tell us the week you'll be on island and we'll find a date and time that fits around the rest of your trip.
Can we book a session while we're visiting Nantucket?
June through September is the busiest season for family photos on Nantucket, and those weeks book up early. We love shooting in the fall too. The beaches empty out after Labor Day, the light turns warmer, and you get a lot more of the island to yourselves.
When is the best time of year for family photos on Nantucket?
Some of our favorite spots for family photos on Nantucket are Miacomet Beach, Brant Point Lighthouse, and Steps Beach. We also love to shoot in the moors or beautiful spots off the beaten path. If you're up for an adventure, we'll find you the perfect spot! If there's a place that's special to you and your family, that's usually the best one of all.
Where are the best spots for family photos on Nantucket?
Nantucket family sessions start at $1350 for an hour with a family of five or smaller, and that includes full access to your online gallery. If there are more than five of you, or you'd like more than an hour, send us a message and we'll put the details together.
